First of TopSpots Goes to FreoReviews
Just wanted to add a quick note thanking our first tip from FreoReviews. Congrats on snagging the first of the TopSpots after I reduced the price tip from $4.00 to $2.00.
If you read this on a RSS reader, you would have to click over to ShanKri-la to look at the prominent placement, ScratchBack widget gets on the sidebar. If you don’t want to, no worries. This is what it looks like.
I love the new Christmas theme they have released and I think it would garner more attention with its colors.
I have been tied up bad last couple of days and I will be posting more on topic tomorrow. I have some good posts coming up. Stay tuned! ![]()

Maybe I’m the second one…
Great advertising way!

gLF, congrats to you!
Actually, I love the way this works as the most recent contributor gets the TopSpot! If it gets busy over the next week, I definitely won’t mind increasing it to 10 spots so everyone gets longer exposure. Thanks much for the tip!

Has anyone looked into how Google feels about this?
With their crackdown on paid links, it will be interesting to see how they feel about something like this.

Kyle.. I think ScratchBack is very Google friendly as they add ‘rel=nofollow’ tags to the links. It’s an option for readers to show appreciation for a blog they love as well as get something back in return in the form of ‘visibility’. Better than a ‘Buy me a beer’ button IMHO.
I don’t use TLA yet just because I am waiting to see how it pans out with Google with everyone’s PR getting mauled.

Okay, was just curious. I didn’t realize they used NoFollow.
So it is basically a way to generate traffic, rather than link juice. Gotcha

Yep, glad you asked as I am sure as others could be wondering about that too! So, it’s not the same as TLA ads.
