I have been reading a lot lately about how firefox is so much better than internet explorer…

Could someone explain to me why its security features are so much better? My computer got hacked about 1 year ago and I have been scared ever since and was thinking of switching.

this is a great list of expansion packs for firefox. hopefully there will be more soon. but there are many add ons, which don’t work for firefox 3 at the moment, so I hope, these versions will be fixed soon.

Pluribo looks like a good add for Amazon shopping. Popular products can have hundreds of reviews and it be a reall effort to slog through them all.

Chelle, welcome to the fun world of Firefox! Hope you found some cool extensions while you are at it.

Kritie, you are absolutely welcome. I do the same by trying out extensions put forth by my peers and friends and I love to share the ones I find here. It is much easier than going through the add-ons repository to find the good ones.
Hope to see you more here.

Rick. I have done the same.. saves a ton of real estate even in a 22″ widescreen!

Software King, some add-ons do tend to slow down Firefox. I do a culling every week to weed out the ones I haven’t touched in a week.

I love firefox…ever since my husband introduced it to me a few years ago, I’ve never gone back to IE. These are great plugins – it’s amazing how big the firefox community is to drive this browser to the top!

Wikilook is a real awesome one; I used it for long, later my firefox got slow and now I dont use any extras except a very few.

Great list of extensions, I particularly like the ‘Smart Bookmarks’ features… as I already have a whole bar edited only to show the favicons, it would be nice to have it done automatically.

I’ve only recently started using Firefox in the last month or so. I love all of the firefox extensions however, especially since IE didn’t have nearly as many. I am going to have to take a quick look at your past posts and see if I’m missing any others I should have!
