I think that there’s going to be a lot of uses for GPS information in the coming years, particularly from the likes of Google who will use it as a means of providing more targetted advertising.

In this case, I’ll interested to see what other people would use this for.

It’s early days, but geo-targetting opens up lots of possibilities for local business marketing. Imagine if Google could integrate it with Adwords, so your local business adverts would only show up for people within a 10 mile radius, for example

Interesting. I haven’t been too impressed with geolocation yet. Google mobile search has a new option in my Windows Mobile phone for finding my location. But it only says that I’m in New York. I’ve tried it from San Diego and Virginia. Clearly something isn’t working.
