RSS is great, I love it both for my own personal reading pleasure of the blogs I like and to distribute the content on my blogs to readers, an ingenious invention.

DCOT really did help us launch into the blogging world. The support blogging community gives new bloggers is just amazing!

I was using Google Reader before I tried Netvibes. The ability to look at a bunch of feed headlines in every tab categorized to your need was very appealing to me! Especially if you have a lot of real estate in your monitor.

I used to use Sage too but find Google Reader a lot better. It’s worth giving it a try, Mark.

Another great benefit of RSS is that you can read interesting news on your cellphone when you’re on the go. If your cellphone doesn’t have a RSS-reader I’ll suggest to take a look at http://www.widsets.com. Its’ free and works like a charm )

Thanks for visiting and moreover taking the time to leave a comment. This is what makes the whole blogging experience much more enjoyable.. interacting with your readers.

You are right about the downside but I believe the advantages are much higher. Even if I don’t leave comments on every site I read, I make it a point to visit the site if I have something to offer to the discussion. And I believe you just did the same

I think I should put in a Comments RSS Feed as well.

BTW, the reader I use is the Sage plugin for Firefox

Wow – that means I’m among your 100 first subscribers. I can’t believe that there aren’t more people using RSS-readers. It makes blog-reading etc. so much faster. In addition you also remember to visit anything of your interest. Before when I visited each blog with the web-browser I often forgot to visit some of those I follow regularly.

(The downside of course is that you can’t write comments from your RSS-reader.)

Good thing you’re encouraging people to use RSS.
