If you are fan of Samuel Jackson or if you have kids, you will love what I have to share with you.
We have a 10 week old baby so he sleeps like a baby right now. But, I can see/hear this through some of my friends’ stories about staying up late because their kid didn’t go to sleep. I usually don’t use NSFW words here but this audiobook read by Samuel Jackson is downright hilarious.
Audible is offering the audiobook Go the Fuck to Sleep, written by Adam Mansbach and narrated by Samuel Jackson, for free. It is just 6 minutes long but I have already listened to it like 3 times. Here is an excerpt abou the audiobook:
Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep.
Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland. California Book Award-winning author Adam Mansbach’s profane, affectionate, and radically honest verses perfectly capture the familiar – and unspoken – tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night. In the process, he opens up a conversation about parenting, granting us permission to admit our frustrations and laugh at their absurdity.
Beautiful, subversive, and pants-wettingly funny, Go the F**k to Sleep is a book for parents new, old, and expectant. Due to its explicit language, you probably should not play it for your children.
It is set with the background music of a bedtime story only to be disturbed by the high-pitched Samuel Jackson style yelling! It’s perfect! Go check it out and get Audibly!
This has to one of the best audiobooks I have heard in a while. But, don’t play it for your children!

You can deauthorize audible account after you download your free books if you don’t want to pay for more.
I am also looking into finding an Audible linux solution. Hit me in the comments if you have one.
