Tips make our lives easier. Tips are bite-sized words of wisdom passed on to other people in the hope that it might benefit few other souls. I will pass on to our readers whatever tips that I find myself using in day to day work around the house.

Here are a couple of starters that I learnt from my friends:

• Fresh smelling microwave: Take a bowl of water with a couple of pieces of lime in it and heat it for 5 minutes. Take a towel and wipe the insides of the microwave. Voila! Clean and fresh smelling microwave..
• Fresh smelling carpet: Take a small ball of cotton and put a few drops of scented oil. Drop it in the vacuum bag and vacuum the carpets! You’ll love the lingering fresh smell in the carpet for days to come.
